About
My passion for being a prosecutor comes from my desire to help people. I live in this community just as the rest of Okanogan County citizens do and I want my community to be a safe and pleasant place to live. I became a prosecutor in large part to focus on child victims. Children do not have the ability to speak up for themselves the way that many adults do and I wanted to help be a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. The criminal justice system is often traumatizing to victims, young and old, and I aim to seek as much accountability as possible while minimizing the re-victimization and trauma that often comes with prosecutingthese types of difficult cases. I also believe that victims themselves are not the only victims of crime. The families of victims are often highly affected by the victimization of a loved one. I want to help those families move forward and heal in a healthy way. My desire to help people is not limited only to victims. Offenders often have underlying chemical dependency or mental health issues and I want to help those individuals receive the treatment and services they need.
